​Lana is a multi award-winning professional belly dance artist and instructor based in Vancouver, BC.

Offering high quality belly dance performances for  weddings, birthdays, holiday events, stage galas, and more, Lana has earned a reputation for being a premier entertainer who brightens celebrations with her energy, charm and vibrance.

Serving the greater Vancouver area, Lana is also involved internationally in multiple aspects of belly dance: from training and performance to competitions. Known for her fun-loving spirit, natural musicality, and warm engagement with the audience, Lana’s performances are captivating and inviting. ​​​​​​

A dancer since early childhood, Lana has an extensive background in belly dancing and has trained in Canada and internationally with leading belly dance masters such as Ruby Beh, Sandra, Tito, Lulu Sabongi, Sema Yildiz, Mylene Khairy, Zafirah, Sefirah, Sadie, Aziza, Mercedes Nieto, and Mohamed Shahin. Not only does Lana’s dance experience include belly dancing, but she also studied Bollywood Dance and performance expression with mentor Priya Rajaratnam, and is trained in ballet and jazz. 

Some performance highlights include film wraps for Hector and the Search for Happiness, Fairly Legal, The Company You Keep and performances for Sabiha Gökçen Airport and ROUTES and Netflix Canada. Lana is honoured that her dancing was featured in a scene in Hector and the Search for Happiness, directed by Peter Chelsom starring actors such as Rosamund Pike (The Big Year, Pride and Prejudice), and Simon Pegg (Star Trek Into the Darkness).

Lana is the house dancer at Michelin-recommended Moltaqa, and has also performed over the years at New India, Al Diwan, Gilaneh, Chapandaz, Mona's Lebanese Cuisine, Afghan Horseman, Taverna Greka, Sympatico, Felicos, Chai Gallery, and Salon Mogador.​ Lana entertains regularly at numerous special events, corporate functions, and banquets and is a member of the award-winning belly dance duo Raqs Zahia.

Not just an entertainer, Lana contributes regularly to various community events and causes. She was co-organizer of Lethbridge's inaugural World Belly Dance Day, an event that benefited Cancer Research.
