Bio Lana - Bellydancer for Weddings, Birthdays, Special Events, and More
Lana offers high quality, professional bellydance performances for weddings, birthdays, corporate events and more. Serving the Metro Vancouver area, Lana has earned a reputation for being a premiere entertainer whose shows are always exciting and glamorous.
A bellydance show by Lana is a great way to break the ice at parties and events. Specializing in entertainment that combines artistry and high-spirited fun, Lana believes that a bellydance performance should not only delight the audience, but bring them together in celebration.
Lana has an extensive background in bellydance and has trained internationally with the amazing Sefirah amongst other leading bellydance masters such as Sandra, Bozenka and Tamalyn Dallal, as well as in Canada as a performer for Ammena Dance Company. Her dance experience also includes several years of technical training with a focus on ballet and jazz. In addition she has experience competing and performing as a gymnast and figure skater.
Recent performances highlights include film wraps for the television series Fairly Legal and for the movie The Company You Keep and performances at the Hyatt and Vancouver Convention Centre for Sabiha Gökçen Airport and ROUTES . Lana entertains regularly at numerous special events, corporate functions, and banquets and is a part of a dynamic bellydance trio Sahara Dancers. Recent restaurant and nightclub shows include dancing at Chatanoga, Mona's Lebanese Cuisine, Afghan Horseman, Indian Oven, Dyar, Kayan, Sanafir, Dionysios, Kalypso, Mad Greek, Sympatico, Kostas, Mastrianni, and Chai Gallery.
Lana contributes regularly to community events and causes; She was co-organizer of Lethbridge's inaugural World Belly Dance Day, an event that benefited Women's Cancer Research.
